The Seraphim: Part 9: Their Amazing Ministry

Isaiah 6:3 – And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
At first glance it might look like one seraphim is crying to another seraphim about the Lord’s holiness, but actually when this verse is viewed in context that is not the case. First of all, the Hebrew word for “cry” here also means “preach.” The seraphim are preaching, not to each other, but to their fellow human beings. And those who receive the seraphim’s preaching and incorporate it into their own lives will eventually become seraphim too.
They are preaching about the one who is holy and that one, of course, is the Lord Jesus Christ. His holiness means that he and he alone is above all others in purity and above all “free from the defilement of crimes, idolatry and other unclean and profane things.” (Gesenius). The word holy is said three times to denote that he is the absolute holiest of all. The Hebrew language does not contain the comparison of superlatives as our language does. For example, in English we would say holy, holier and holiest by way of comparisons. The Hebrew language would say holy three times to denote the holiest.
He is the Lord of hosts. The people who hear and respond to the teaching of the seraphim are becoming the hosts—they are becoming like the Lord as they make him Lord of all aspects of their being.
The whole earth is full of his glory.
In the context of this revelation, the whole earth signifies each person’s whole body. Each person’s body will be filled with the glory of God. Adam’s body was made by God from the dust of the earth. Therefore, we can say that the earth can refer to a human body, thus in this passage, the seraphim are telling people that their whole body is going to be filled with the glory of God.
What is God’s glory? God’s glory is the manifest presence and activity of God. Therefore, the seraphim are preaching to people with the message that they are going to be filled with the manifest presence of God. The people they are preaching to are the people in the churches. This is an experience that is only for the people of God who have been faithful in following God in obedience and love. The lukewarm will not have this experience.
The next verse, Isaiah 6:4, is going to reveal exactly what this experience of being filled with the glory of God will be like for each person. I am able to see this in Scripture and write about it because it was my experience in 1997. At that time, Jesus came to me and awakened my spiritual body to feel his loving presence and that presence has never left. In fact, his presence has continued to grow stronger over the years. As a result of his coming in this way, I was able to see more deeply into the Scriptures in the way you are seeing here.
This next verse in Isaiah 6 is a description of what I experienced and continue to experience.
Isaiah 6:4…
And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. (KJV)
I’m going to show two other translations to help my readers understand exactly what this experience will be like.
And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. (NKJV)
And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. (NASB, 1971)
As the seraphim preach to the people (the voice of him that cried), the posts of the door begin to move, shake or tremble. The posts of the door, also translated as foundations of the thresholds, are not referring to the architecture of the building they are in. Perhaps the seraphim are preaching outdoors where there aren’t any doors or thresholds, architecturally speaking. No, this is something in the people themselves that begins to move, shake or tremble. This door or threshold is the entrance into a whole new experience in God unlike anything that has ever been before. It is a door opening to heaven and the entry point into the end-time place in the spiritual realm that God has reserved for his church of the end times. This will be our entry point into the kingdom of God and into the miraculous kingdom experiences that will accompany this new age for God’s true church.
That which is moving in the people is their spiritual body being awakened by God. There is no outward movement to be seen because the natural body is not shaking and trembling. It is the spiritual body within the natural body that feels this movement. The feeling of movement is not as fast as we would think of trembling being but more slow such as the wavelike motion of a large body of water. Only the person in whom this is happening knows about it. There is nothing at all visual to be seen.
Posts of the door or foundations of the threshold are defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as the following:
the place or point of entering or beginning; the point at which a physiological or psychological effect begins to be produced; a level, point, or value above which something is true or will take place and below which it is not or will not
I would say this is an accurate definition to describe this awakening of the spiritual body. It is the beginning or point of entry into a whole new experience in God. It is the feeling of a physiological effect that also affects us psychologically. This is an experience which never existed before but now does exist and will exist forever. Once the spiritual body is awakened, I believe it will never fall back again to the dormant state that befell it at the fall of humankind.
To me this experience is like being taken by God right past the cherubim and the flaming sword (Gen 3:24) into the paradise of God represented by the Garden of Eden. If you will remember, God placed these things there to make sure no one could enter back into the garden to eat its fruit and live forever. Therefore, this experience that feels like entering paradise is not for people who are doubtful about their commitment to God and his holiness. Only those will be allowed to enter into this dimension who have proven by their life experiences to be faithful and obedient to God.
and the house was filled with smoke
“Where there is smoke there is fire” as the old saying goes. In Scripture, fire and its resultant smoke can be symbolic of God’s love for his people and his protection and presence with them. We see this in Isaiah 4:5 which states:
…then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering.
Fire can also signify God’s judgment of sin. Since everything Jesus does is motivated by love, even his judgments come out of his love for us. Our sins, although forgiven, still separate us from God. Therefore when he judges the sin in us and purges it out with fire, we can be closer to God. And that is what God desires—closeness to his people.
In verse 6 of Isaiah 6 we see there was a fire on the altar because one of the seraphim took a live coal from the altar with which he touched the mouth of Isaiah. That had to hurt! One of the characteristics of the ministry of the seraphim will be identifying specific sins in the people so they can repent and enter more quickly into the fullness of Christ.
It never feels good for someone to tell you about the sin they discern in you, but this ministry will not be one of discernment. It will be God himself speaking pure words of truth from the mouths of the seraphim. People will be glad to receive this ministry because with all the evil and destruction going on in the world around them, getting into the kingdom of God will be uppermost in the minds of all sincere Christians. Therefore it is doubtful they will desire to “save face” or continue in any sin no matter how embarrassing or painful it may be to have exposed.
For smoke to fill the house means that human beings, each of which is a house or a body—a dwelling place for their spirit and God’s Spirit—each body/house will be filled with the glorious feeling of the love of God for them (smoke).
When a person’s spiritual body is awakened, the first thing they become aware of is the love of God which they feel all through their entire being. I know this is true because when Jesus came to me and awakened my spiritual body in 1997, I felt God’s love flowing into every part if my body—physical and spiritual.
I am not able to differentiate my physical body from my spiritual body. Every aspect of my being from my toes to my fingers feels the love of God. There is an awareness of the tender, deep, sweet, gentle love of God all through my being that is indescribable. As I stated above, the feeling of God’s love has never left; in fact, it has greatly intensified! This is because God has been judging me and purging me of every sinful thing in my life during these years.
With the coming of God’s Spirit in this tangible way, there is an awareness of a new way of receiving communication from God, a new language so to speak. It is the language of feeling in our newly awakened body. We feel something in our body that corresponds to something we are thinking and we know it is the Lord telling us something about it. Sometimes the message is, I don’t want you to do this, or, what you are thinking is not true. Conversely sometimes what we feel may be reassurance that something we are thinking is right or true. This is only one way that the Lord teaches and guides us. This also enables him to bring to our understanding the things he is judging in us leading up to our coming into his fullness.
To sum up what we have seen here in Isaiah 6:3, 4:
Isaiah 6:3 – And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Interpretation
The end time ministers in the fullness of Christ are preaching to their fellow human beings (And one cried unto another) about the great holiness and purity of God (holy, holy, holy, is the Lord) and that he wants us to be pure and holy like Jesus also (of hosts). As the people hear and respond to this teaching, their whole body (whole earth) experiences the manifestation of the presence of God (is full of his glory).
Isaiah 6:4 – And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
[This next verse describes what happened when they began to feel the manifestation of the presence of the Lord in verse 3]:
Interpretation
And their spiritual body (posts of the door) was awakened as they heard and responded to the call to holiness being preached by the seraphim (moved at the voice of him that cried). This awakening of their spiritual body was experienced as a gentle wavelike feeling much like one would feel while floating on a raft in a large body of water. With this gentle movement they immediately knew the love of God was filling their entire being and that Jesus had come to dwell in them in a way that had been reserved for the church of the end times (and the house was filled with smoke). Soon they came to understand that God was communicating with them through their body in a way that was helping them discern and know right from wrong and what decisions to make in every detail of their lives.
