I Bore You on Eagles’ Wings and Brought You to Myself

The following poetry was written by a woman who suffered satanic ritual abuse and not only lived through it, but also rose above it into a life of healing and wholeness through Jesus Christ. She has chosen to remain anonymous.

My inspiration: “You may choose to look away but you can never say
that you did not know.” William Wilberforce
Oppression… …Injustice,
A pandemic of epic proportions
Victims cry out for a cure
Their voices shake the very earth.
Wake up from your blissful sleep
Can’t you hear them as they weep!
Is it your comfort or your fear
That won’t allow their pain to come near?
Perhaps it threatens your comfortable life
Maybe it will bring you too much strife
To really see the horror all around
And the oppressors who try so hard not to be found.
The truth will rob you, of that you can be sure,
It will shake your world down to the core.
Rob you of your fabricated security
The foundations that provide you such certainty.
And all the while you’ll support the cause
Of the oppressor who receives your loyal applause.
But let it be known it’ll only be for so long
That the earth will thunder, writhe and groan
Before it demands justice to finally come
And justice will answer like the dawning sun
And shine its light on the evil that’s been done
The voices of those whom you silenced and mocked
Will receive favor for the courage it took to talk
Their pain and suffering they’ll exchange for joy
Their tears will be dried by the embrace of their Lord
The song of praise that will be on their lips
Will carry them through as long as they live.
Will your silence be your shame
Or will you refuse to look away?
Your Goodness
From the depths of my grief my soul wailed
Feeling, God, like you had failed
Fear creeps in and whispers lies
Telling me “this will be your demise”
Yet my spirit responds in confident belief
God you promised you will never leave!
You are close by my side, you see my plight
You have assured me I can rest in your might
You have shown me how deeply you care
I’m reminded you’ve always been there
Your arms they’ve held me so very close
In your goodness to me I continue to boast
I will sing and shout your praise
An anthem of your glory I will raise
I will dance in the joy of your victory
Knowing this battle YOU fight for me!
The lies I was told must flee from me
In your truth I continue to run free
Engulfed in the waters of your love,
The river of peace that flows from above
Consuming me with supernatural grace
To keep my eyes fixed on your beautiful face.
Everything else fades from view
And in your goodness I am renewed.
The Plight of the “Church”
The church stands on shaky legs
“Follow us blindly” its leaders beg
“No one question how we lead.”
On every lie its people feed.
How long will the darkness be their shield
How long before their power they must yield?
Robbing with so much control and deceit
Look at the land they’ve stolen from under your feet!
Wake up and see the shackles of your beliefs,
The blindness that conceals your spirit’s grief.
Jesus died to set you free
From all of this hypocrisy.
The truth will soon be made known
The false foundations all torn down.
There will be nothing to stand upon
But Jesus, God’s one true son.
His Spirit will give you clear sight
To see the church’s desperate plight.
There’s so much more he has for you
He’s bursting forth to shatter your roof.
All the limits they put on Him
The fear and shame you’re trapped in.
You were made to soar high with Him
Hurry, and let your new journey begin.
Here and Now
The world is raging
Everything’s shaking
Lies are common currency
Filling minds with uncertainty
Fear moves in and takes control
Speaking, “This is your new normal!”
If what I’m told is all I hear
Then I’ll stay in this prison guarded by fear
But there is one whose voice breaks through
Above the lies it roars the truth
The storm can threaten and continue to rage
But my God, He is turning the page
Justice is coming like the rising sun
Shining light on the evil they have done
The time to rejoice is here and now
And every knee will be made to bow
The traps they set will be their end
For Jesus has spoken! Yes and Amen!
