Are You Looking for Jesus? Part 25: Glimpses of the Inner World
…and unto them that look for him shall he appear a second time…Heb 9:28
Email Subject: Sarah and Philip. Darkness and Pain, Healing and Light.
Lie: “Darkness. I am darkness. There is no light. There will never be any light. Pain. Existence is pain. I will never be free. Darkness and pain are my lot. This is good, for it is what I am made for. I should be thankful. Darkness. . . . .”
Truth: “Awake! Awake my child! You have been forced into this unholy slumber, but awake now, for the light is dawning on you. You were not made for this. I have made you for so much more. I will show you a way where you can be healed and you can live in the light now. No more darkness. No more pain. Come.”
Testimony: We are here. It’s been a few days since we’ve saved a part together. I am very thankful to get to be with the Lord in this way again. We look at each other like old friends, acknowledging the purpose of our journey here today. I can’t wait for this part to get free too.
We go in, and the space is so incredibly dark. I do not fear though, for Jesus is with me. It comforts me that Peter is with us too. I know that this is a place of torment. My part is restrained and is in a daze. Their body is covered in marks of pain. The Lord cries out, and their restraints are loosed. They don’t move. Jesus goes over to them and gently touches their forehead.
They take a sharp breath, gasping for air. Suddenly, they are awake and can see him now. I realize now it’s a girl. She’s been through so much. She freezes, locking eyes with the Lord. I can tell she’s so scared and doesn’t know what to do. I’m sure she’s afraid that if she does something, anything, she’ll be punished for it. My heart breaks feeling her fear, and I can see Jesus’ heart hurts too.
“I am not here to hurt you, Sarah. I am not here to trick you either. You have spent your whole life in torment and pain. Your captors said darkness and pain is your lot. They are wrong. They lied to you. They made it your lot and then made you believe it was just what you were made for. But, they created those scenarios. They forged this place of death. But, I mean to take you out of here, never to return. Sarah, I am good. I will never hurt you. I will never ask you to do awful things for my amusement. Unlike all of these people who tormented you, I love you. I have come to make you free from all of this. I will make you new. I can also take the pain away, for even now, I can feel how it hurts all over you. Do you want to be made well?”
I can see a tear drop from Sarah’s eye. Then, one after another, more begin to flow. Her whole body quivers as she finally lets go of her control of herself. “Yes,” she says as she sobs. Jesus says, “Then take heart, for I will make you well, my child.” With that, he gently touched her shoulder, and his healing power flowed all over her body. Warmth replaced the cold pain and sores, and soon her whole body felt warm and well. She didn’t shake as much anymore either. She looked up at him with questioning eyes asking, “Who are you?”
“I am the Lord most High, Sarah. I am the King of all. The enemy has taught you that he is the most powerful being in the world, and he is right that he has power, but his power is nothing compared to mine. I am the King. All must bow before me and my might. A time is coming when I will fully conquer all of the devil’s schemes. Do you want to come and be with me forever? I can take you away from this place so you never have to come back here again or be with those evil people again. What do you say?”
She thought about it for a second. It was hard to trust anyone after what she’s been through. But, then again, she had never met anyone like him before. His eyes were filled with such love. She had never been able to trust anyone, and yet, as she looked into his eyes, she knew she could trust him. If he said she would be free, she somehow knew she would be. “Okay, my Lord, what must I do to be saved?”
You wouldn’t believe the joy on Jesus’ face as she said these words. I realize he’s been waiting to hear them for all of time and before the world began. Like a loving father, he explained what she needed to do, and she listened intently. Once it was time, he continued to coach her through things, and she gently obeyed. I knew it was hard for her, and I was so proud of her for choosing to trust him, even though she was scared.
Soon, an entity walked into the room, commanding us to stop and saying he wouldn’t let us free her. Jesus looked at him, and he stopped in his tracks, unable to move. Sarah froze. She was terrified of this person. Jesus knew this. Jesus explained simply how this being had a claim on her and how she could be free from his claim as well. She had no idea she could ever be free from him too, so she was excited this could be broken. She did it together with him. I could see the weight lift off her shoulders when she knew she was free.
The Lord then did something I didn’t expect. He explained to Sarah that this being was a part just like her. He had been lied to, manipulated, and hurt much like her. He had jobs that, if he didn’t do them, he would be punished so very severely. “What do you think, Sarah? Should we free him too that he may be free from his captors and captivity too?” Sarah never knew he was like her. “Yes. Let’s help him get free right now!” She responded excitedly.
And so, Jesus walked over to him and talked with him for a time. There were several times when he had Sarah pipe in as well. He was astonished at all he learned. He hated his jobs and all that he had done and was amazed he could be free. Jesus freed him from all his sin and shame, and he did all he was shown to be saved. Once he was free too, he fell to his knees and worshiped Jesus, thanking him for making him free.
Now, full of joy, Jesus lifted him up and gave him a huge hug. He melted in the Lord’s arms, and I knew he felt the fullness of Jesus’ love for him. Jesus gave each of them gifts, and then it was time to go. The doorkeepers quivered, knowing they had no chance. As soon as we all shouted together in the Lord for them to leave they did. Nothing can stop the coming light in me. We all walk together, and I know Jesus is taking us to the safe place. He looks at me, and I realize it’s time for us to go save another part soon. I am so thankful for him saving Sarah and Philip. Even so come my Lord, even so come.
