When the Enemy Comes in Like a Flood …

So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
I think many of us feel a deep yearning inside to know what is going on in this crazy world of ours. Just when we think things can’t get any more insane than they already are, they do! Like what happened to a friend of mine just this past week. She was with friends, women who have been good friends for several years, who came together for an evening of good food, games and fun. Suddenly, one friend said, “I hope everyone who refuses the vaccine gets Covid! They deserve to die.”
My friend, the only one in the group not vaccinated, heard an expletive coming up out of her own mouth before she even had a chance to think about it. It was such an utter surprise and something so vicious coming out of the mouth of her friend, whom last time she had seen had said she was not getting it, that she was taken totally off guard and utterly shocked. She managed to make it through the rest of the evening, but she felt like a foreigner in a strange land. It was difficult to be with people she had known for decades but be the only one who did not believe in getting the jab and the only one who did not believe the mainstream media’s lies about almost everything else. A few days later, her friend apologized and they agreed to disagree and continue on with their friendship. However it won’t really be the same, as my friend related, because she will be on her guard around her from now on.
From what I read online and what I hear from some of my unvaxxed friends, there is tremendous pressure coming from family members and friends for them to get the jab. I’m not getting it, none of my family members or church friends are either so I’m not feeling pressured. Knowing what I know, I couldn’t feel pressured anyway because I know the truth. The truth is that if I daily maintain my relationship with Jesus and pray about all things, he will protect me and guide me. I don’t need a hastily developed, unproven mix of who-knows-what injected into my body to be safe. Sure, modern medicine has its place, but if we trust in science more than we trust in God, we are in trouble.
I’ve been researching online daily for many months, listening to many doctors and virologists who say there is overwhelming evidence that not only is the vaccine dangerous, there isn’t any need for a vaccine anyway. Plus, a safe vaccine cannot be developed in a few months—it takes years. What they’ve come up with is not really a vaccine anyway. It is more accurately defined as gene therapy.
The best way to understand what is really happening today is to prayerfully study the Scriptures. Behind all that we see outwardly lie spiritual realities that are just beneath the surface of the Word waiting to be uncovered by those who choose to yield themselves to the Holy Spirit and let him teach them. I have realized lately that my deep hunger to go to the Internet news sites and learn more about what is happening that Mainstream Media won’t tell us, is really a hunger for a deeper revelation in God’s Word. With this in mind, I have been looking more deeply into Isaiah 13 and would like to share a few things I have recently uncovered.
Isaiah 13:1
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
Of course the first thing we need to identify here is who or what is Babylon. Many biblical scholars have surmised that Babylon represents a certain country like perhaps America or a religious system such as Roman Catholicism. For my interpretation the Lord has given me a more all-encompassing interpretation:
Babylon represents people who have an outward appearance of goodness, reverence and love but inwardly are irreligious and filled with ungodly attributes such as self-love, hatred, and blasphemous thoughts.
Using this interpretation for Babylon, we can see that it can be all over the world at one time and affecting all people in some way. For example, using this interpretation, my friend in the beginning of this article may have been a believer in the midst of Babylon at her evening spent with friends. That is why she felt like a foreigner. She absolutely was a foreigner—a true lover of Jesus Christ who was in the midst of Babylon and taking the brunt of the hatred and ungodliness roiling up from someone she had thought she knew.
More and more we see that issues arising from the Covid debacle as well as other issues are revealing who people really are inwardly. The things we have hidden away are coming to the surface to be seen by all. In case you haven’t realized it, this IS judgment day. Judgment day isn’t just a one-time event over in a few hours or few days. As the kingdom of God approaches earth, we are all going through judgment one day at a time. We have been in this process for years. We are experiencing right now what is written in Revelation 22:11:
Let the one who does wrong still do wrong, and the one who is filthy still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous still practice righteousness, and the one who is holy still keep himself holy.” (NASB)
This is a truth that is causing deeper and deeper chasms between people at all levels of society. Some people plead for unity claiming we can all learn to get along and come into agreement on major issues, but how can that be possible when the wicked are not going to stop being wicked and the righteous are not going to stop being righteous? This growing dichotomy is causing the ever increasing shaking of every institution and relationship in our society and even our world. This is going on globally, not just here in the United States because God is judging the whole world, not just this nation.
In the past, the unrighteousness and filthiness in people could be covered over as people displayed outward behavior that appeared to be righteous. But we are in a place in history where this is becoming more and more difficult. People’s true character is increasingly being seen.
We hear a lot reported about the unjust and filthy decisions, attitudes and actions going on in our nation and the world, but seldom is anything said about the righteousness and holiness that are steadily increasing in God’s people, but they are there. God is at work in his people testing, refining and teaching them in preparation for the great ministries soon to be released at the precise time set by God.
I return now to Isaiah 13 to show in Scripture this dichotomy of good and evil. I will show the Scripture and then my interpretation as related to this present day. The study which preceded my interpretation can be seen at the end of this article.
Isaiah 13:1
The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
This verse is about the laboring (burden) that must be done by those who have a pretense of being holy but inwardly are full of self-love. In order to fulfill their own desires they falsify truth and adulterate good. They themselves carry the heavy burden of continually polluting truth with lies and half-truths. They have to do this in order to keep up a false front and satisfy their own selfish desires (the burden of Babylon). These people can be discerned by those who have the salvation of the Lord (Isaiah) that comes out of their strong faith (Amoz, father of Isaiah). This is what is happening in America right now. Not only has our government on all levels been taken over by Babylon but also the minds of many people have been taken captive by Babylon.
Isaiah 13:2
Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
This verse tells us what is to take place at the time that people are full of self-love and calling good evil and evil good (previous verse). God will lift up other people of noble character (lift up a banner). They will be an ensign and a sign to all people (banner) as they dwell in a high, holy place with God (high mountain). God will exalt his Word (voice) to them as he opens the Scriptures as never before. He will also exalt his Word in them as they exemplify his very life before all people (exalt the voice unto them). God will awaken (shake) their spiritual side (hand) such that they will feel the wave-like motion of new life in a part of their being that had heretofore been unknown to them (shake the hand). This will help them enter into heavenly realms where they will have a relationship with the holy angels of God (go into the gates of the nobles).
This brief study has reminded me of a prophecy we received in 1972 through a man in our little country church in Indiana. He was a janitor, a humble man with a great anointing to proclaim God’s messages to his people about the things soon to come—things that we are now experiencing.
September 6, 1972
I am about to shake this earth and yea, I will not only shake the earth but I will shake the heavens also. I shall tear down strongholds that have been built up and I will tear down those things which the devil hath greatly built up. For I am God and there is none other. There is none other beside me saith the Lord. And I will tear down those things which have destroyed men’s lives and torn them apart. Yea, and I will build up my kingdom in this earth. And nothing shall destroy it and nothing will come against it, for it is an everlasting kingdom. I am building up that which is going to last for eternity and nothing shall stand against it. Nothing shall prevail against my church, for hath not I said that it would be a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, and that I would pour my Spirit upon her and I would bring her forth as a chaste virgin, and that I will show her forth in the ages to come? Yea and I will show her before all nations and I will show her before all peoples. She shall greatly glorify my name for my name shall be established in her. And I will raise her up and I shall put her on high. And thou shalt see a great thing when thou shalt behold my church, for I gave myself for her because I loved her. And I shall bring her forth unto my bosom, saith God Almighty.
