Why President Trump Is Like Nehemiah

I was totally astounded a few weeks ago when I was reading Nehemiah and saw in the Word several similarities between President Trump and Nehemiah. How awesome it is to see how God is still working through his appointed leaders to bring about his purposes. This is not about satisfying our personal criteria for what represents good leadership or even determining whether President Trump is authentically Christian. It is about the glorious sovereignty of God being exercised through willing vessels unto the fulfillment of his purposes. Seeing the commonalities in Nehemiah and President Trump is a great encouragement to our faith as we traverse very trying and troubling times very much as those returning Jews of Nehemiah’s day.

The background for Nehemiah’s situation in Persia around 445 B.C. was that the Israelites had been taken captive from Judea and deported to Babylon by king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon around 587 B.C. after their temple had been destroyed by the invading army and the wall around Jerusalem torn down. 

During their 70 years in captivity, Babylon was conquered by the Persians. A new king, Cyrus of Persia, had issued a decree that the Israelites be permitted to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple of their God. This had been accomplished under the leadership of Ezra, but several years later when Nehemiah was the cupbearer for Artaxerxes, a different Medio/Persian king, the city of Jerusalem was in danger of being destroyed again because there was no wall to protect it and its habitants from their enemies. King Artaxerxes, who held Nehemiah in high esteem, encouraged him to return to Jerusalem and lead the people in the rebuilding of the wall.  

Similarly Donald Trump saw the danger to the American people of hordes of illegal immigrants swarming across our borders with no background checks or medical evaluations. He is in favor of legal immigration but wants to protect us from the grave dangers of increased crime, foreign occupation and the spread of diseases once eradicated in our country.  

As an Israelite, Nehemiah had all anyone could desire in life. He held a high position in the Persian nation. He had a close relationship with the king along with the wealth that often accompanies one in such circumstances. Yet he was willing to give it all up and take on a dangerous and difficult job in order to help his people live safely in their land and ensure that the worship of God would be preeminent in the land once again.

Here is another similarity I see between the two men. Donald Trump also had everything anyone could want in life. He knew people in high places, he could do anything or go anywhere with no limitations because of his tremendous wealth, yet he was willing to take on one of the most difficult jobs anyone could imagine. As a result he has suffered losses to his own fortune and enterprises because all his time has been taken up by his duties as POTUS, and he has been subjected to ridicule, slander and false accusations by disreputable media and the enemies of our Constitution, our freedom and the unborn.

Nehemiah, who had been appointed governor of Judea, and Donald Trump, who was elected President by the American people, both turned down the money offered them for their work as government officials because they did not want to impose any greater hardship on their people.  In regards to Nehemiah, the Bible states the following:     

Moreover, from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year until the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes, twelve years, neither I nor my brothers ate the governor’s provisions. But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God. (Nehemiah 5:14, 15)

Their Enemies

Both Nehemiah and Donald Trump encountered tremendous opposition from the enemies who tried to stop their work. As we research the enemies of Nehemiah we will see that they are the same in character and methods as those encountered by Donald Trump! First of all, let’s look at the response of Nehemiah’s enemies to the news that he had been sent to rebuild the wall:

But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?” (Neh 2:19, NKJV)

Is this not the response Donald Trump has received from the mainstream media ever since he announced he would run for President in 2016? Never, ever has any President been ridiculed, laughed at, scorned and maligned like President Trump has been. Many people truly do despise him, but then there are many who love him. When have you ever seen a Presidential rally where the President had to stop speaking because people wouldn’t stop chanting “We love you! We love you!”?

Every proper name in the Bible has a spiritual meaning connected to it. Looking at the spiritual meaning of Nehemiah’s enemies’ names will reveal how much they are like President Trump’s enemies:

Sanballat – Sanballot means “enemy in secret.” President Trump inherited a government filled with secret enemies of not only himself but of the Constitution of the United States and of the American people. This is the swamp he vowed to drain and he  has been doing just that. But before draining the swamp he has had to do what Nehemiah did when he first arrived at Jerusalem before announcing that he came to organize the building of the wall:

So I came to Jerusalem and was there three days. Then I arose in the night, I and a few men with me; I told no one what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem; nor was there any animal with me, except the one on which I rode… So I went up in the night by the valley, and viewed the wall; then I turned back and entered by the Valley Gate, and so returned. And the officials did not know where I had gone or what I had done; I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, or the others who did the work. (Neh 2:11, 12, 15, 16)

When Nehemiah first arrived at his new duty station, he didn’t tell anyone what he was going to do except for a few close associates. He took time to size up the situation and wisely told no one what he was doing. What if he had told them? Some might have argued and said he was doing it wrong. Others might have told his enemies, either on purpose or by accident, and made his job even harder. God had put it into his heart to do this job and God was leading him as he surveyed the area.

President Trump after his inauguration had to take time to size up his situation regarding legitimate government activities and Deep State activities involving people he inherited from past administrations. At the same time he was dealing with the many false accusations coming at him daily from those who hate him.

Just as Nehemiah spent three days at night investigating the situation regarding the wall, President Trump has taken three years and more to really find out all he needed to know in order to do what he promised the American people he would do—drain the swamp. Now many people accuse him of doing nothing, but they are undoubtedly people who follow the mainstream media, don’t care to do their own research or are trying to cover the tracks of their own wrongdoing. President Trump has been instrumental in helping facilitate the rescue of hundreds of thousands of trafficked and satanically abused children from deep underground military bases (DUMBS) all over the world.

Since April 2019 in secret military operations, thousands of tortured, mutilated babies, children and teens have been rescued or found deceased by the US Military. I can’t tell l you how excited I am to know of the rescue of so many children. I have felt so powerless over the years after hearing the memories of satanically ritually abused women and men who have suffered horrendously at the hands of these evil people. I have known there are many more and also seen firsthand that the children of satanically abused women have no one to help them because the criminal justice system of this nation and also the FBI appear to know nothing about Satanism and what they do to children. Therefore Satanist relatives (most often fathers and/or grandparents and sometimes witch-mothers) continue the abuse to the children and women in their families because no one will believe it happens or do anything about it.

Well, President Trump is doing something about it! He is doing something about it all over the entire world! If you will read the entire article you will learn that hundreds of thousands of babies, children and some women have been rescued from these deep underground labyrinths in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and all over the world.  

The following quote is from Dr. Charles Ward who has been in some of these tunnels.

People that we trusted, organizations that we trusted during times of tragedy were involved, such as Hurricane Katrina where lots of people went missing. Continuing with Nehemiah’s Enemies Like President Trump’s
In Nehemiah, Sanballat, whose name means “secret enemy,” was a Horonite. The meaning of Horonite is “men of anger or of fury.” It is remarkable to see how angry President Trump’s enemies are when anyone says something good about him or defends him. Some absolutely fly into a rage. I know of friendships that have ended because of this issue.

I don’t intend to go into every detail regarding Nehemiah’s enemies since it is all recorded in the Bible, but I want to point out one more—Gershem the Arab. The name Gershem means “his banishment.” Banishment is what President Trump’s enemies have tried to do to him. Banish him from earth by assassination, accuse him of treason, impeach him—everything they could possibly think of to get rid of him, but thankfully nothing has worked. I know many of us pray for his safety every day.

Gershem was an Arab. The word “Arab” means “sowing sedition.” Sedition means “resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.” Sedition has reared its ugly head against our President ever since he took office. Wikipedia takes the definition of sedition even further:

Sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that tends toward rebellion against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent toward, or rebellion against, established authority.

 Those in opposition to President Trump are often also opposed to the Constitution of the United States, the document he is trying to uphold and govern by. Many of them are also opposed to law and order and have demonstrated this by defunding their police departments even while their cities are being destroyed by BLM and Antifa.

Additionally those who control the mainstream media have misquoted President Trump and painted a picture of him as being a despicable person whom we should all hate. When it comes to judging him, we should never judge another person’s motives. Only God knows their heart. As for what he has done, it is best to look at the facts and refuse to believe rumors and lies that have no factual basis.

It is most important to look at his platform. He supports Christianity. He has spoken publicly and positively about Jesus Christ. He is aiding and supporting the recovery of abused and trafficked children. He supports the rights of the unborn. Our nation will never prosper when so many babies are being killed in their mother’s wombs. Now these little ones are sometimes murdered at nine months—and this is legal! I believe with President Trump we will see this come to an end.

As I close this article, I just want to state that although I do not know our President personally, I believe the Holy Spirit has been showing me things about his character through the Scriptures. There were more things in Nehemiah I could have mentioned here, but due to the length of this article, it would be more advantageous to bring this to a close.
