The Power of Spiritual Warfare for Health

The Power of Spiritual Warfare for Health
Many thousands of illegal immigrants, mostly children, are now flocking across our southern border as though there were no immigration restrictions. According to trusted news sources other than the mainstream media, these children are not being screened for diseases. Some claim that they are, but many health authorities say that the vast numbers of children now being transported to cities all over our nation could not possibly have received physicals and blood tests (the only way to test for many diseases) before being sent out. There are even sick children and healthy children being housed in the same room near the border with nothing but a yellow marker separating them. These children are certain to carry many disease organisms including parasites for which most Americans have no immunity. This could possibly result in forced immunizations for all Americans.
God has given us mighty weapons of warfare. This battle for our health will be a spiritual battle. We must remind ourselves of this over and over. No matter what we see happening around us in the natural and on the news, the whole question of whether or not we survive and overcome depends on our relationship with God. This is because we are passing from one age to another age. We are passing from a natural age to a spiritual age.
We can be certain there is a spiritual age of miracles and power waiting for us to enter because of some passages of Scripture that allude to it such as: “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame” (Heb. 6:4-6).
This speaks of THE POWERS OF THE AGE TO COME. This is what we are on the brink of even now. We are going to have to be so close to God and so one with him that we are able to walk in his power even as Jesus Christ did. Jesus walked on water, turned water into wine, healed the sick, cast out demons, passed out of the midst of an angry mob that tried to kill him, filled a fisherman’s net with fish, positioned a gold coin in a fish’s mouth, raised the dead and many more miracles…some recorded in our Bible and some that were never recorded. He is the great I AM. He is what we need him to be when we need him to be it…if, and this is a big “if,” we are faithful. If we are not seeking the pleasures of this world and neglecting a relationship with Jesus, if we are not loving our lives unto death, if we are not idolaters, etc. then we can look forward to doing the same miracles Jesus did.
Do we need to fear being rounded up and sent to a concentration camp as happened in Europe in recent history if we have the ability to just walk out of their midst like Jesus did. Can you imagine that? In the middle of the night, you hear shouts and gunfire, there are trucks and helicopters outside that people are being forced into at gunpoint, and when they break down the door to your house, you just walk away. God has plans for us to do that very thing, but we have to go through a process of growth and maturity in him to the point that we are walking in holiness even as Jesus did. This has never been possible before this time, but we are in a new age and God is doing a new thing. We are passing into the age to come. This is what my book The Four Living Creatures is all about…our preparation to come to the point that we can do this.
God is speaking prophetically to many people saying that famine is coming to America. For some people it is already here, but not on the massive scale that is coming. God is speaking about wide-spread famine. We used to have stores of grain and food in this nation, but our government paid farmers not to plant crops. Our grain was given to other nations and now there is no emergency store of food. A few terrorist strikes could shut down our nation’s transportation systems. If the trucks don’t roll, our grocery stores will not be stocked with food. Most recently has been the West Coast port labor dispute (2014-15). This will cause the price of food to rise considerably.
Can we store up enough food to live on for a long period of time? Maybe some people can, but many can’t afford to or don’t have room to store it. Besides, this brings up the question: Do you keep your food to yourself and let your Christian brother starve? Can you store up enough for yourself, your children and grandchildren…your church…your neighborhood? It can get ridiculous. Jesus might tell us to go to a river or pond and scoop up some fish for dinner. He could make a squash plant grow just outside your backdoor or in a pot of dirt on your patio. He can and will do anything for his faithful ones in the time of trouble that is even now creeping upon us.
Just what are these weapons that God has for us? Our first weapon is the written Word of God. Our Bible is filled with scriptures that are very powerful that we can use in any situation. However, if we have never spent much time reading or studying our Bible, we won’t know where these verses are or what they actually mean. If you are in this situation, you can begin right now, today, to learn your Bible. Pray and ask God’s help.
A good place to begin using our weapons of warfare is in regards to health and healing. The mainstream media gives many reports about disease that can strike fear in the hearts of many people. Fear lowers our resistance to sickness. As our TV dutifully tells us each day about how many people have died of this or that and how many more are going to get sick and die, we would do well to turn off the TV, get out our Bible and read about God’s promises of health for his people. If we are worried about what’s going to become of our health insurance or what will happen if socialized medicine comes to our nation, we can pray and ask God to help us shift our reliance over from our doctor to him.
Here is how I use the scripture to do warfare against the enemy’s attacks on my health. First read the scripture, then think about the verse and memorize it. Visualize it as it was historically and then visualize it taking place today in your own life. Write the verses on 3 x 5 cards and put them around your house in places where your eyes will be drawn to them. I like to put one or two up on my bathroom mirror. As I brush my teeth, fix my hair, etc. I can think about that scripture. If sickness tries to come upon you, stand against it and quote the scriptures. Visualize Jesus being with you and laying his hands upon you even as he did for so many 2000 years ago. He is the same today as he was then and will always be. Jesus is for his people. He has so much to give us if we will trust him and come to him.
Here are some of the scriptures I have found to be very effective in standing against the enemy in regards to health. I suggest you copy them and begin using them today. It takes time to build up our faith and there is no time better than today to begin doing this.

If there is no place to go in the natural world, we must flee into the arms of God. He has a land of freedom and protection for his people. This is a spiritual land and we must fight our way into it with spiritual weapons even as the people of Israel in the Old Testament had to fight to enter their Promised Land.
God isn’t going to just suddenly “zap” us with his power. We have to seek him daily, obey him and walk according to his Word. As we do so, he will lead us and gradually fill us with more and more of his power and wisdom to face what is coming upon us at a rapid rate.
